by newsprintmag.com

Toddlers can be a handful, especially when they show signs of aggression that leave you feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. While many factors can influence your child’s behavior—like genetics, environment, and your parenting approach—diet is often overlooked as a possible trigger. Certain foods might actually make aggressive behavior worse, so it’s important to pay attention to what you’re feeding your little one.

There are some top offenders when it comes to foods that cause aggression in toddlers.  Some foods can trigger aggression in toddlers, so it’s important to be mindful of what your child eats. High-sugar foods like candy and sugary cereals can cause mood swings and even lead to aggressive behavior. Caffeine, found in soda, energy drinks, and chocolate, can make children restless and irritable. Processed foods with preservatives and additives might also play a role, as they lack nutrients essential for good behavior. Even dairy can be a problem for some children if they have an intolerance.
